Well I got my first gem yesterday. It's an 83 TG gemini with 14" mags and sports exhaust. im gonna put some pics up as soon as i get them developed. Anyway it needs a new thrust bearing?. I was wondering how much it will cost and if it is easy enough to fit myself. any feedback would be helpful

cheers Phil

its easy to do but you need to take the gearbox off which may be a bit of a problem to put back in for a newbie. change the bearing and when you put the box back on you need to twist the box on an angle to get it past the gearbox channel

form memory the thrust bearing (makes winning noise when clutch pedel is not pressed) is about $30 and if your mechanically minded and have the tools to remove and replace your gearbox it should take under a day.
it is fairly basic.
cheers
