Well I got my first gem yesterday. It's an 83 TG gemini with 14" mags and sports exhaust. im gonna put some pics up as soon as i get them developed. Anyway it needs a new thrust bearing?. I was wondering how much it will cost and if it is easy enough to fit myself. any feedback would be helpful
cheers Phil |

its easy to do but you need to take the gearbox off which may be a bit of a problem to put back in for a newbie. change the bearing and when you put the box back on you need to twist the box on an angle to get it past the gearbox channel |

form memory the thrust bearing (makes winning noise when clutch pedel is not pressed) is about $30 and if your mechanically minded and have the tools to remove and replace your gearbox it should take under a day.
it is fairly basic.
cheers
