well the power output of these motors drop considering the extra gear and the use of small valve heads.. the max out put of these is TE: 56kw and then TF/TG: 49 Kw |

All g161 motors produce 67 flywheel hp. The valves make no difference, a G161 doesnt flow enough to take advantage of the early big valves anyway, and also the TF/TG had a higher compression as well. |

Nope. The earlier models had an extractor style exhaust manifold, that gave em maybe at most, 1 or 2 more HP, and thats pretty well not worth talking about |

Im afraid your info is wrong. there is no way there is a 13 kw difference between any of the g161 petrol engines. Cams , capacity, carbs are all the same. As I said, the early models had big valves, and semi extractor style exhaust. LAter models has smaller valves, but higher compression. All comes out nearly the same in the wash. Line up a tx, tc,td,te,tf,tg at the strip, they will all do the 1/4 mile virtually the same.
The G200 has approx 63kw stock, Cheers |

Who really gives a flying fuck, eh?
Do it up a little, get it dyno tuned and find out how much power it makes at the rear wheels. Better still, don't worry about power at all, just do it up so it goes hard, then power figures are irrelevant.
If you hose someone off, kudos to you. I have no idea what the output of my Gemini is, nor do I really care, all I want is more. We all know standard Geminis are wheeze bags with potential, standard power means zip.
That's my rant! |
