the g161 head wil up the compression but wont change the way the motor revs much, the early tx head had the smallest chambers.

then theres no harm in having the g200 head shaved down a wee bit ive looked through the old forum on behalf of this swap and still dont see the upside of a g161 head if you can make the required mods to the g200 one

An engines ability to rev high efficiently pretty much comes down to....

Mechanical inertia
Low rociprocating mass
Cam design
Port design
Combustion efficiency

cause g200 heads are worth more than g161 heads, so why bugger one up when u could sell it and get cheaper g161 head, air injected tg and early tx heads have bigger valves and better port design than the 200 one to.

ive shortened the path of water channel by turning the heater hoses back through the engine not sure if itd give the g200 cooling problems as it is without having a g161 head which i hear blocks part of the water channel from the block.
