Hi, I am a newbie.
I have been through this site reading about Gemis and the forum Kills it, its the best form of info on the Gemi that I have seen anywhere!
Anyways, I just bought me first Gemini, a 84 mdl TG sedan.
It has a 5spd box, a recoed 2.0 ltr, 2.25 exhaust, extractors, mild cam, and other bits & pieces.
It has "FLYCUT" Pistons, what the hell are "FLYCUTS" ???
Are they better than standard or flattops?
Also, I am on a tight buget at the moment and would like to get some more power out of it with out going turb, supercharging or N.O.S.
What is the best and cheapest way of gaining mor punch out of it?
Any help will be most usefull
Cheers.

btw, I will be sending in some pix as soon as I can get them scanned.

If you haven't already, try some webbers. I have got a simalar setup to yours apart from some headwork and hopefully within the next week or so, I will be getting a webber (34ADM) out of an XF into the Gem, that should give it a bit more punch.

Flycut pistons are high compression pistions with sections moulded/cut in the top of them to clear the valve. They allow the engine to rev a little further, and also can save your engine/valves should anything go wrong (ie valve bounce).
