Gidday mate i was just reading your message the other day regarding your spec's on your G200...

and i was thinking off doing the same thing too my G200...

at the moment ive got a 34adm. 28/68cam. extractors&exhaust
and it surprising goes pretty good... so i was thinking about adding a Ported polished and shaved TX head, im not sure how much off a difference that would make... BUT!...

instead off all this ive decided too put the standard cam back in, take the extractors off and drop in a Turbo off a Nissan Skyline RB20 engine attacted too a piazza manifold...(im half way through this conversion) BUT.. im worried about is that ill have too much turbo lag and wont get the responsive talk which ill get with ur setup off the mark...

i really want too get too about 120km/perhr
as quick as possible. thats why i decided too go the turbo setup. note that: i dont like driveing over 130km/phr... keep that in mind...

wat do u recommend????????

If you dont want to drive above 130kph but want balls then go N/A all the way...
But on the flip-side, if i were you i would seriously consider selling the T3 (you should get decent money for it from a Nissan enthusiast). And get your grubby mitts onto a T25 or T28 from either a CA18DET or SR20DET. These smaller turbos come onto boost much earlier, their efficiency range would suit what you want, and they would need no more than around 0.5 - 0.8 Bar to give you the charicteristics you are chasing. Lower boost + smaller turbo + 130kph speed limited = happy torquey reliable engine.

P.S I'd recomend if you turbo the engine to not port it, but to just get the ports cleaned up and the bowls blended and to get each port CC'd or blue-printed. You will most likely find that the engine will thrive on minimal head mods with what you want out of it. Leave head porting to the higher revving and top speed (200+kph) engines.

Live fast, die sideways...

Good suggestions.

I will be porting my head at a later stage, going EFI after 34ADM, but I will not be forcing this engine as it is my daily driver and I am more after reliable HP and driveability.

As it is, I have had zero experience with turbos, only driven a few and really dislike. All I can suggest is put a Toyota SC14 supercharger on it. That will give you lots of bottom and midrange, I would guess you could get better driveable performance outta that than a turbo setup.

I don't think anyone has really done a side-by-side test of similarly spec'd turbo and SC engines. That would be interesting for sure to see where each has its advantages.

Cheers
