what engine have i got?

Hi, I've got a 1984 TG SLE and just wondering what engine its got?

on the side of the block i think passenger side they have either g161 or g160 there 1.6L or g180 1.8L or g200 a 2L
g200 have g200 on the front of there heads aswell

On drivers side, youll find G161 (if its a 1.6)
G180s and G200s had the number stamped on the exhaust manifold side.

I don't know what you got, but it AIN'T a TG Gemini SL/E.

TD and RB were the only models with SL/E versions.

All models of T-series RWD Gemini have the G161Z SOHC 1584cc engine, unless it's been swapped at some stage for a Rodeo item (G180 or G200). This would be a selling point, so I assume the previous owner would have told you that if it had something else other than stock.

it had a sle badge on the boot and it looked to be there its hole life..
