Screw the mixture screw right in, then back it out 2 turns, (thats 720 degrees). Then adjust the idle speed by the other screw which opens or closes the throttle slightly.
Also make sure you have enough ignition advance, and vac advance is hooked up to inlet manifold.

Tried that last night, wouldn't even idle unless i held the throttle at bout 1500-2000rpm, could be a vac leak so ive got some gasket paper and im makin some new gaskets up for the adapter plate, etc. Vac advance is hooked up on the bottom, and from the diagram i looked at briefly ive got the fuel etc correct, where do the other two vacuum sized pipes go??? Can they just be blocked??? Where bouts are you??? Thanks... |

Thanks for that, i may be in luck a mate at work has had a lot of experience with his two on cortinas, so i'll give that a bash first. |
