A while ago there was post about fuel pump running at 7.2 volts. The fuel pump runs off a relay that is activated my the alternator, The alternator has a feed off it that has 7.2 Volts this line goes from the alternator to a relay that switches on a 12V feed to the fuel pump. IF ur running out of fuel htne it is time to upgrade ur internal tank pump or run a external pump such as a holley or carter or a no name brand electric pump. |

Hey Dave,
I've measured the voltage on a couple of cars at the fuel pump power wire and it was only around the 8 volts mark. Do you know if the relay feeding the fuel pump is original? If so, has it undergone a re-wire to relay 12V instead of 7-8V?? |
