Hi Guys,
I have gotten used to the power output of the piazza engine in the gem and I was thinking about pulling it out and giving it a birthday. How would that compare to either a 2.3 or 2.6 engine. Will the manifolds that I have of the piazza engine bolt up? are the blocks the same? Do you know it there is anything else that I have to think about when it comes to the swapping of engines or should they go straight in because I allready have the piazza engine in there.
Cheers

2.6l rodeo inlet maniflod fits up slightly differently, you could modify it to fit tho, with a fair amount of screwing around and $$$ of course. dunno about the blocks.... _________________

blocks are sort of the same, 2.6 is obviously bigger. 2.6 head has bigger ports and valves. also has bigger inlet runner, so you shouldnt use the piazza manifold. the exhaust manifold will bolt straight up, but the standard piazza t02 will be abit on the small side for the 2.6
by the time you out lay a 1000-3000 for the 2.6, you may aswell just do some work to the piazza engine. |
