shaving door handles

was looking at deleting the rear door handles off my gem, a la the new alfa romeos; any thoughts on legality? i would be keeping the inside ones obviously plus central locking is on the way. cheers, weeksie.

i know its illegal in QLD. as they cant open the doors incase of an emergency

hey the alfa,s do have the rear door handles only there positioned on the back corner of the window flush the models are the 156 and the 166

i wasnt sayin if it was legal or not. if it is illegal its not worth doin however i thought that it dosnt make much sense with the "cant open the doors to get in" when to get in to 2 door cars you have to go through the front doors.

does this make sense...
if its illegal fair enough.
im currently rebuilding my car so i would rather find out now than when im finished and i have to put door handles back in

what i dont get is it's a saftey thing right...i case of an accident so they can get u out.... whats to stop them reaching the the window that is in a million little bits on the ground???
