hey i stopped a guy on the street about a year ago and asked if he wanted to sell his car.i gave him my number coz he said no at the time, but i got a call the other day and the guy finally wants to sell his car.
its a td/x panel van and has a 1600 with extractors and a rebuilt head, new rear monroe shocks, carpeted van area, $300 phillips head unit and the body is very staright and has a smidge of rust in the roof near the windscreen and under the rear bumper. what else should i look for as i just had a quick glance today.i asked him to hold it for a week. he wants $800 for it. what do you guys think( good buy?)?
what else should i look for too? |

| its a 5 speed and the guy has welded new floors in because you used to be able to see through them. where else should i inspect for rust which may hinder a good restoration/ modifications |

| look under the bonnet where the gaurd bolts on near the bonnet hinges thats usually a common place 4 rust also look under the rear bumper near the fuel tank and where the spare tyre sits is another common place check around window rubbers aswell i think thats the most common places where they rust cheers mate |

i brought a van and this is where the rust was or should i just say where the rust wasn't?
front drivers side floor pan, drivers side back floor pan, passager side back floor pan, passanger side cill all the way half up the door! a bit on the drivers side chaneeel inside the guard, just behind the back passanger side back wheel, the HOLE boot under the fuel tank and where the spare tyre sits!! and a tiny bit around the front window |
