You would need a supercharger firsly. A good one to use is the one of the 4agze engine. (Comes out of toyota mr2).

Then you need the piping to make it fit (custom stuff).

You need to rise your fuel pressure as well with a hi pressure fuel pump, a camira one will do. About $30 from wreckers.

You will also need a fuel pressure regulator to bring the pressure to a steady acceptable level for the carby.

You would probably need to get a bigger carby too, one of the 2L escort would do I'd say.

Compression will be fine stock unless you plan on running high boost but this is pretty rare from a small supercharger. Run low boost and you will be fine.

I think thats it. Oh yeh and it will use more fuel, probably more than a turbo since its always on boost ???

the 4agze super charger has a clutch so you can turn it off. hence it isnt always on boost

if you drove everywhere with the supercharger switched on your petrol bill would be fucked but if you only switched it on when u wanted to give someone a run or whatever and switch it off on long trips it'd be ok. It would be advisable to run the car on Optimax aswell.
You could also switch the car to LPG and get gas research on your carby and stuff... allows you to run higher boost than you could on optimax or LRP and it is about half the price of petrol.
