Growing Dints!!!

A couple of months ago a noticed a little dint on the top of the drivers mudguard. Then a while later I noticed there were 2 more. Now's there's like 5 in a row all in a straight line and relativly evenly spaced. I don't let anyone sit on/lean on my car so I don't know how they're getting there. I think perhaps its from the shokie tower flexing from cornering too hard, anyone else experienced this??

Obviously you've upgraded your suspension??? I cant say i've seen it before, but my mates rally gemini has had at least three extra spot welds between the standard welds on the shock tower, i thought it was just reinforcement, but it could be to help prevent that from happening. Maybe an engineer could look and tell you.

Yeah I have put in a full sports/semi-racing suspension setup in. I'm gunna be respraying my gem soon so I wanna sort it out before that. I might design up a brace to run from 1 shock tower to the other and see if that helps.

I'll see what I can get on to mate. I reakon just a bit of chs with some flat welded onto the end should do the trick.

yeah seams good, i dunno how it will go with just the single bolt on the strut tho, (most have 3+)
but it will add to the rice factor no doubt Very Happy

yeah mate, I'll make it the phattest CHS i can get under there. You got any turbo pipes or anyting on top of your engine?

nope, but the engin is taller. maybe 60mm taller in the engin bay.
i recon a 25mm diametre tube set up would look nice
