Was thinking about getting a few small pieces chromed up to set off they car.
One thing I was thinking of was to get my front plastic grille chrome coated.
Is there any chrome paints that actually look like chrome ? Most come out a shitty silver colour.
What is involved in getting this done ? |

Chrome being reflective requires a perfectly flat surface as you'll see all the imperfections. So a spray on paint will look shit unless you did stax of preparation. I dunno where to try, check out the yellow pages for chrome platers... |

Theres a couple of spray paints that come out good. They do need the same prep as befor painting a car and afterwards they need to be rubbed back and polished. Cant remember the name but will find out. A grill would be hard though given the work that needs to be done after spraying.

These chrome sprays are in acrylic ?
If so then it shouldn't be too much of a problem to cut it back and get some shine.
Cheers. |

Some dashboard resto mobs used to advertise plastic chroming for instrument surrounds on older cars etc could be worth a try. |
