as for the diff, why don't you lock it? weld the axels together Smile

errr... u cant weld the axels together
u lock the planentry(sp) gears
and maybe he wants his car to be legal. if u crash and hve ya diff welded your insurance is void

There are reason's it is illegal to weld your diff. They break alot...they fuck up basically.....and they make stupid fucking chirp noises when u go round corner's ive done it in my chrysler centurer and if u want lsd do it properly dont weld...

i havent broken a diff yet
i have two welded diffs
one in my road car for 12 months then sold the car
2nd one is in my coupe it is over 14 years old and still going strong

i am going to purchase a diff so that if it does crap out i can have a back up,..

i need specifcs on welding,.. txcoup can you plese advise? will any mechanic know how to do?

well u remove the rear cover off the diff, drain the oil and get some decent arc welding rods and get a section of the diff back to bare metal.that bare metal section is ur contact. and weld the four small gears together.

I'll do a write in a coupla hours and have pics for everyone
