every one i hear sounds like a big fucking fan with a bonet on top!

sound sick idling tho!

how do you stop them for sounding so shit?

extractors and 2in exhaust with lukey high flow muff and 4in dump pipe gives the best result i reckon but it isnt the best for performance.....2 1/5in is better but they bellow more and dont sound as ricey

mine sounds ok and i got a 2" from the extractors to a lukey performance muffler than to a jap spec 6"-4" muffler, it actually sounds beautiful i love GEMS

ive never heard a gem like that... every gem ive heard has been quiet up front and noisy at the rear!

Acually I reckon quite a few so-called 'hot' geminis sound very close to some clapped out Datsun 120Ys! Listen for yourself and tell me what you think...

I have to say though, my Gemini is the best sounding of all. (How's that for modest haha) Genie extractors, 2 1/4" steel exhaust, large redback muffler, small hotdog on rear, with a 3" slash-cut exit.

None of this rice shit, they all sound like bees stuck in the straw of a maccas coke! Mine sounds like a real car, with a boom, pop, crackle on overrun, and a fat sound at any revs.

Ever notice these rice-mobiles on overrun? They all sound the same, ugly drone that is a dead giveaway for their relatively low state of tune. Nothing but a CAT back dump pipe, but where are the lumpy cams and the 10:1 compression? The sound and feel of an old-skool engine cannot be beat!

That's my rant. I don't agree with your 'fucking fan with a bonet(sp) on top' analysis, I do agree a lot of Gems sound like shite, but that is only my opinion. I don't hear too many cars these days that do sound nice.

i love the sound of my gemini
4-2-1 extractors 2" system to a high flow muff then to a 4" dump pipe and its pretty loud , and when you down gear it gurgles and pops i love it

and i gotta say a friend has a te gemini and it is a fan machine all you hear is the fan comming it sounds fucken gay
