I just bought my self some 13Bt injectors and I am currently looking to fit them to my piazza manifold. I would like to do it myself to keep costs down. What I was wondering is they dont quite fit into the old O-ring bits on the manifold they are too wide so is it possible to just machine down the nozzle part of the injector to suit or do you have to fit new o-ring things.

Has anyone fitted these injectors before?

u will need new o rings, there like cheap as. dont go fucking ya injectors to save $5

u do mean the little rubber o rings the sit in the manifold?? and the nossel of the injetcor site in it??

There are three main types of injectors as far as configuration goes. Hose tail - these have a barbed fitting on the end that rubber fuel hose slides over.

Bosch type - these have a squarish electrical connection and a metal clip that retains them to the fuel rail.

Delco type - these have a roundish electrical connection and are sandwiched in the manifold by bolting down the fuel rail onto them. They have an o-ring in each end, but no metal clip like the bosh ones.

Depending on how much bigger the injectors are than the bosses in the inlet manifold, you have a few options. The first is to get ones that fit. The second is the machine the boss or the fuel rail to fit the injector. The third is the machine the injector.

I have only ever played with delco injectors, and all based around a 4ZE1 inlet manifold. The factory 330cc injectors were yanked out, and I got some 550cc S5 RX7 ones, and they wouldn't quite fit into the fuel rail. I put some fine wet and dry paper onto a dowl and tried to enlarge the fuel rail. I also installed smaller o-rings on the top of the injector. Worked a treat.

I would personally look at machining the manifold before touching the injector. If you keep the injector standard, it will be easy to replace. You also might find that they are a pretty big injector, and your injector openning times will have to be made quite small, unless you are making a 250-400 hp.

Yep the one in the manifold where the nozzle of the injector slides into.
