I need to get my rear axles restudded to fit commodore mags, as i've got 5 stud on the front, i want to know which would be the better option... Shortening a commodores axles, or the restudding??? Costs or advice from others would be appreciated. Also the seal from a commodore rear axle that the callipers mount to, is this a straight bolt on to the gemini diff??? Otherwise how did others put VL rear callipers/discs on??? Thanx for any help...

The best and strongest option is to use skyline rear axles and disc brakes. They can be restuded to whatever you want and if leter you upgrade to an lsd or the like then you already have a god set of 28 spline axles to go with it. Cant remember how much it cost though or how hard it is.

i paid 110 per axle (commodore) to be shortened and restudded. if you use commodore axles you will have to get the diff centre resplinned for 28 splinned axles. or you could get them resplinned the same as a gemi |

would the skyline axels be the ones off an R31? and are you talking about getting the axels modified to fit the stock gemini diff housing or the whole diff shortened to fit under the gem?
