heater unit Probs!!!

Well, my heater/fan unit under the dash is leaking water, and its Gay cause it makes the car go all hot and shit, and after work each day the car stinks like a smelly fart!
So, whats the best way to cure this? Get another heater unit? Or just get a couple of Plugs and plug up the pipes that go into the unit? The fan thingo doesnt work anyway, well, the fan goes, but the heater is stuffed??
So is plugging it up the best answer???

u disconnect the heater core and join the two hoses to gether with some pipe for now and remove ur heater core and get it recored becuase the damn thing has a corroded out
cost about $100 for a new core.

yeah, under the bonnet you will see both heater hoses go to the intake manifold, get a short piece of hose (not too short or it will kink) and put it on the manifold on those two spots.
