hi all,
im thinkin of lowering the myTF gem and as its my first car dont really hav an idea so wheres the cheapest place 4 lowering it? im thinking would 2inches make any difference? im after a safe hight however i want it so you can notice its lowered.also is it easy 2 get a road worthy when its been lowered or should i wait till it is? thanks guys Smile

ok here's my advise, go the pedders sports package, while i have king springs all round (pics here : http://www.hotgemini.com/cgi-bin/gallery2.cgi?action=sv&vid=138) i would still reccomend the full pedders setup, will probably be more pricy but IN MY OPINION would be the best choice for your car...

and 1 more interesting fact that was brought to my attention not so long ago was that pedders do the "lowest legal" springs on the market...

I got king springs all round in my TG. It is lowered about 2.5 - 3 inches. At first the put the springs in and it wasn't low enough so they adjusted them somehow and it dropped more. It drives really good now and cost $350 fitted. Definately better than the chop chop option.

im goin chop chop, when i get the dosh to respray my car, gunna chop it 2-3 inches, cos my suspension is prolly fucked ne way, y not fuck it totally then buy some new lowered shocks and springs. gemini ride height sucks ass!

after having v8 HQ springs in and then vl ones that kept falling out becasue they where to small(thanks gene) i put some lancer springs in yesterday and there fucken perfect. then ride is sweet as and its low.
