I am thinking of doing the 4ze1 conversion soon. i heard the distributor hits the firewall. Is there any way around it except for using diesel gem mounts and crossmember or bashing the firewall? Also what type of cars would I be able to beat if I put one in my car?
cheers phil |

Try the distributer and backing plate from a holden shuttle. It should clear the firewall (It did on Beasty's 4ZC1-T).
Cheers. |

the dizzy does hit the firewall, all you need to do is cut the lip off about the length of your middle finger or you could use gemini coupe engine mounts, ive heard they bring it forward enough to clear the firewall.
it depends on how far you go with the engine. my 2.6 is turbod and not many street cars around here give me a good run. the best car ive beaten would be a 911
the look on his face....priceless |
