If you're serious call Just Geminis in adeliade, cause they've done a supercharged rodeo 2L with a toyota blower, and suck through side draught weber.
You could probably get away with using standard compression and only 5psi boost, but you might as well get a decompression plate, that wouldnt cost too much.
It might be a bit easier than turboing cause you wouldnt need to get a new exhaust manifold etc.
Heaps good throttle response etc, I reckon its a good idea.
Any carb thats big enough would do if you run suck through (easiest)

Well, theoretically boosting an otherwise unmodified engine with 14.7psi (or 1 Bar, atmospheric pressure) should double the power u get with normal aspiration, because when your piston decends and the valve opens the cylinder gets filled up by atmospheric pressure (1Bar), so if you put another 1 bar in with a turbo or supercharger, you're doubling the pressure the cylinders get filled with. so according to that theory you should get 50% more power with 7psi.
But in reality it doest work like that cause of the airflow restrictions. But roughly u should get 30 or 40 percent more with 6 or 7psi.
Get a decompression plate and use 10 or 12 psi or so, and you'd get decent power.
350 holley I reckon should good for 200hp, so should be fine.
