Can ne one tell me why my front brakes make this really annoying squeek noise??? It usually only happens when you lightly put the brakes on but now it makes it when you turn to the right as well as going straght at low speeds. Only recently replaced the pads and i think one of the shim things must be in the wrong way or something. ne ideas???
thanks

You can buy some silastic type goo from Autobarn that most brake places use to provide a slight spongy surface between the pads and the caliper/piston. The shims have an arrow in the top to avoid going in the wrong way. The "goo" usually does the trick. Ask for brake pad anti squeal. |

Pulled off the wheel and the shims and everything seems to b in the right way. Im thinking it might be in the suspension somewhere. it only does it when u turn right tho.
I had a blowout (stupid glass) on the front left and ended up heading towards a fence and tree last week. It didnt hit the gutter on the right tho i went up some dudes driveway. Dont know much about suspension. could it b the steering rack or balljoints or what??? The bearings seem to be ok no movement other than usual. I think the steering rack must be worn it has some movement left and right when u grab the wheel while its on the ground. Any ideas???
sorry bout the long post
