Hey all, I was wondering if it is possible to predict if a 2l with a massivly ported and mildly shaved head running a 32/36 weber would have more or less horse power than the same block using a "shaved to the limit" big valve head (not ported) with high comp pistons and the same weber...
...so its really a question of kinda high compression with huge p&p -vs- higher compression with no p&p (both big valve head)
not positive on what carby to use yet as i only have a 32/36 atm |

| the higher compresion will let you run a bigger cam but not outright give you the most power. basicly the more powerful engine will be the one that can use more fuel and get rid of the waste gasses quicker. the better a head can breath the more power the engine will produce |

Hmm... can anyone tell me how much a p&p would cost?
nothing drastic coz i dont want THIS head to crack up and fall appart like the last one. apparently it had $1600 of porting to the head and intake manifold! |

| yeah ok, Im getting the engine done by the gemy shop and i havnt asked darren or his mashinest yet but yeah i would like to be able to compare prices |

| approximatly 2mm off all ports, a bit of water gallery welding and a shave down near the limit. Has this guy worked on any gems b4? |

We have a 2lt with big valve head p&p also decked and the pistons are bored to the max! compression of 11:1 with mega arse cam (sounds like a V with twin 45mm webbers set of extractors and a 2" exhaust made 137 kw at the wheels |
