| idle ur car at about 2 grand, then give it to the floor, if she blows destinctive BLUE smoke then its ur rings......... if not check ur mixture and work from there, could be a bad plug......(un-ignited fuel)........ |

Black smoke means your engine is running too rich (the mixture of air and fuel has too much fuel in it). If you have put a weber carby on your engine, the jets are more than likely wrong and you may need to get it rejetted.
If this means nothing to you, take it to someone and tell them it's running rich, they should be able to help.
