anyone replaced one of these?

its a pain in the arse to get the front pulley off... any hints to be had?

Hi Martin, I would remove the radiator so you have more room to work.I usually have the engine out of the car when I remove the pulley .I use a soft hammer and slowly tap it off. try some wd40 as well good luck.Let me know if you need and info on the seal.I use silastic in place of the gasket.

thanks gem,

the problem is getting the bolt itself off!!

i dont think mine has ever been taken off its that bloody stiff...

had a bit of trouble with the water pump.. but got that off and only broke one bolt which was rusted in. the pump itself i dont think is leaking its the cooling pipe that goes up to above the exhaust manifold that is giving me grief (and leaks) the connecting bolt to the pump was rusted through...

bit of a pain in the rear.

do you have a new model or old model twincam motor? what colour rocker cover??

in mine i dont have to take any of the casing off to get to the seal... apparently on the old ones you do?

hi just did my front seal and it is easy to get the bolt out just get the right socket and a braker bar and then put it on the bolt with the bar touching the ground to the left
lookin at the motor
and then turn the key you might need a biger battery



THIS WORK ON MINE
