If they are going to steal your car and are determand enough nothing is going to stop them. An alarm will make them think about it because it will pull attention to the car if they brake in. There is no real sure way of stopping people stealing you car.

What are the solex locks worth??? An alarms good as a deterrent, but no matter how good they are all able to be defeated. Battery back up sirens, rolling codes, black wiring loom, 3 point immobilisation, motion and ultrasonic interior sensors, all good things to look for, but at the end of the day if they want it its gone...

The only problem i have ever found with motion and ultrasonic sensors it only takes 1 farking pissy little spider in the car and the bloody thing goes off.

Are they the sensors you set off in underground car parks when you give your car a good rev next too ? I did a burnout in a packed shopping centre once in my old SII RX-7, i revved it to 7 grand for around 10 sec's and set off about a dozen or so car alarms.
