whent the car heats up its starts making this pinging noise
what could be the cause of this.
it also blows a shitload of oil, agian when hot and when i changed gears and also in low revs. i know this becuase you are burning oil.
any suggestions would be great. |

| yeah when its hot my car makes that pinging noise aswell but it dont blow smoke or use oil just the pinging noise |

| sounds like the first bloke has blown his head gasket and u hotgem are running to much adavance and/ or your head is warped aswell |

yeah well i have blown 3 head gaskets in 12 months and if i dont run as much advance it will cough and splutter when i go to take of and when it idels it will just die so i have 2 run as much advance as i have but i dont know what its set at atm so i cant tell ya but can u answer why it needs this advance so it dont play up ?

what would you do to rectify the problem and how much
would it be cheaper just to get another engine.
Problems with car before i got it:
head replaced x3 (1 with me)
reco engine x2 (i think)
overheating x 000's times (I KNOW!!!)
any help VERY much appreciated.
