bonet scoop / hole in the bonet or not ???

ok people here's the plan im putting a nissan patrol turbo desil bonnet scoop on my TD wagon a i was wondering should i cut the hole under it ( yes i do know all the rules aboyt the frame and all that) or should i just leave it and let it be purely decoration...personally i was thinking of putting the hole there but i didnt know if rain would get in there and reck the engine.

go the hole...as long as water can't get into the carby/airfilter, when the car is just sitting (ie. turned off) it'll be ok, at the same time, when it rains you don't want water to be pouring in, but a little bit is nothing to worry about.

just a thought that mite help ya dude...go to ur local nissan dealership parts department n see if u can order one from there if u want it new. catcha

im geting mine orderd in still but go down to a japanese wreckers they had heaps near my joint (sydney)
