I installed a new head unit to my car yesterday. Now when I drive, my battery light sometimes comes on. When the battery light is on, when I stop, the engine cuts out at idle. However when the battery light is off and I stop the engine doesn't cut out at idle. the battery light goes on and off all the time.Does anyone know what the problem is?
Is my alternator stuffed?

well if the alternater was stuffed, it wouldnt charge the battery which means that if it stalled it shouldnt start again cos the battery would be flat. Are u sure the Head Unit is wired properly, cos i had a similar problem when i have a neon wired through a switch incorrectly
