Link bushes= less than $10
What do you mean by lower bushes and rear
The rack is very expensive so do everything else first
Ball joints= about $20 (I think)
The clunk noise is most likely the ball joints, it should go away when you change the bushes (the noise in my front end did)
Rear panhard rod bushes=?
Take the lower control arms out and get a suspension place to press them in, thats the only prob that you will probably have.
Hope this helps. |

I found out my steering was worn when I went for a wheel alignment. Thanks to Elky's advice I just got the inner ball joint and tie rods ($26 each side) and just finished replacing them. Steering is perfect now so you might try just start with that too, see if it solves probs.
Cheers |

Are you gonna upgrade your bushes to poly urethane or similar, i'd recommend it, much better properties than rubber ones. I got my whole car done with pedders stuff, this is from memory mind you, sway bar links are bout $20-$30, why are you only doin the lower bushes??? Theyre around $20-$30 a pack which covers both sides, but then you've still gotta get front and rear for the front and a pack for the rear, if you want the same ball joints you can pick em up for $30 odd bucks, but pay bout $10 more and you can get greasable ones, recommended. As for panhard rod bushes, i dunno as i got an adjustable one because i lowered mine at the same time, but pedders or whiteline should be able to help. As for the clunk, replace the stuff first that needs replacin then check, do you have much play in your steering??? Thats a sure sign its stuffed, it is all fairly simple to do yourself at home, but you will need to take it somewhere to get the bushings pressed in and out anyways for some of them, as i doubt you've got a press at home, and you will need some specialist tools if the ball joints are stuck, only $20 for a removal tool though. Hope that covers all you need, tell us if ya need anymore info... |
