for a manual gearbox it says that the gearbox takes the same SF 20W/50 oil as the engine ?? is this right ?? can u put heavier oil in the gearbox like SAE 80W/90 (rear axle oil) or is engine oil the best for the gearbox? |

you shouldnt put too heavy an oil in your gearbox, you should stick with the engine oil. |

u sure dude... sounds a bit dodgy. Mini's are the only car i know of that use engine oil in the gearbox, cause the gearbox is in the bottom of the engine !!!! anyone else ??? |

The good ol' gregory's says:
Manual transmission
Lubricant....Diesel engine oil SAE 40
Capacity-
4 speed.....................1.3litres
5 speed.....................1.6litres

Hey, I thought you had to stick that Thick ass Hypoid Oil in your rear axle??? |
