hey,
im currently redoing my TG interior in all white. ive started by painting all the plastic bits like arm rests, door handle siurrounds, vents etc.
However, ive painted my dash with the 'motospray vinyl paint' spraypaints. the problem is its come out fairly crap (one can was very slight different colour)(and i want it to be spot on). so i was thinking of just spraying with a gun but i was wondering if i should get 2pac or acrylic. the colour is a satin white.
i dont think ill need a flexi add as its not flexible, and if i do ive already got 1/2 ltr of vinyl paint (with heaps of flexi additions) for the gun, but id prefer to get about 1-2 litres to do everything exectly the same colour...
so what does anyone think... acrylic or 2pac? will 2pac be harder to spray??, id prefer acylic(as ive got the thinners. |

youll need a spray booth for 2pac paint, but acrylic is piss easy to use |

If you get acrylic I suggest you prime first with one of those flexible primers.
Even though you think the dash is hardly going to flex from beign touched and stuff it will expand and contract with the sun/heat.
Rub it back good with a scourer, prime it, scour it back a bit tpo scuff it a little and paint.Make sure you flow your paint very lightly so that it soaks in nicely and doesn't cake up over the primer resulting in cracks. |
