If i use a 1600 big valve head on a 2ltr should I use the 1600 cam in that head or fit the 2ltr cam to the 1600 head?

Fit a bigger cam to make use of the high compression.

its simple, pull out both cams, and compare them. id be thinking to use the g200 cam, untill you get a new one, as its already setup for the 2ltr.

but thats just me. ill check the cams out tomorrow, and if the g200 one is bigger/better, ill cram it in the 1600 ive got at the moment.

if not, then i wouldnt bother.

Thanks Rob looks like I'll be using a 1600 TX big valve head on my g200 with the webber 32/36 2 barrel carby modification so it just a matter of finding out the cam specs of the 2 and using the best/biggest.I have noticed the cam rockers are a lot bigger on the 2ltr head I dont know if this makes any difference.

Rockers are bigger? Do you mean they are Alloy? as older units have Metal rockers that may look smaller.

CAMTECH make some nice cames for na 2ltrs.

Yes now you mention it the g200 rockers look alloy and big compared to the early steel ones now I know .thanks
