I got a 32/36 weber and i am about to put it on but i am still confused about what to do as for an air filter. The standard air filter in my TG doesn't fit onto the weber. What have you guys done in this situation?
Cheers

i cut and pasted well welded.
U make up a base from some steel plate about 3mm thick or even 1mm and mark the top of the weber on the steel. This is done by using a gasket. then measure the diameter of the base of the stock air cleaner. Then take that diameter meaurement and do a circle with the same diameter on the steel plate u marked the weber shape on. plus mark any other equipment needed to make it look stock eg fuel breather and crank case breather line ( using small copper pipe for the fuel breather and the orginal breather connection for the crank case)

Cut out the circle on the steel and on the base of the stiock air cleaner. Then if ur handi with a welder, weld it to the base of the stock air cleaner assembly or get a mate too

Redline actually make a air filter kit for the 32/36 carby.
it comes complete with stainless steel bottom plate, that fits and bolts down onto the weber 32/36 and has the right rectangle filter and has the stainless steel top and 4 retaining clips, it looks good and does a great job, expect about $50 or more depending where you get it from Try Scotts Auto one or repco or autobarn
