i was at auto expo today, and was speaking to a guy with like 6 show gems, and he told me that the g200's with a big valve tx head, don't rev as hard as the g180's with a big valve head.
they also ping at high revs, and blow head gasgets easily if u rev them hard. he told me that the g180 with a 1600 head is a better option for a N/A engine than the g200 with tx head.
i am askin coz i can get my hands on a complete g200 bottom and head, i'll only take the bottom tho, for really cheap, which i would fully rebuild.
any1 with some experience with the g180 and g200, plz giv me a few words on wot u's have found go harder, and are more reliable, coz i dun want 2 be replacing the head gaskets all the time. also, how hard u gotta drive to blow em?
and.. how far do they rev, 6, 7 grand i'd be guessin?

but wait, there's more.
i would be spending about a grand on a bottom end rebuild, about 500 on a tx head, and a 'worked' nikki for bout 250.

coz of all the pollution shit, and after 1980 or so, u cant fuk wit any of it, or else risk being defected, i want to have 100% undefective car so coppers can suck my dick.

In Qld at least, I'm 99% sure it's 1984 the pollution shit becomes compulsory, which means you can fuck it off on most gem's, like mine. |
