making the combustion chamber smaller (fitting a smaller head or shaving some off the old one) will increase compression, this gives a fair bit more power. But u have to get a good head gasket or just keep changing them pretty often; normal gemini compression ratios are about 9:1 a 1600 head bumps it up to 12:1 as for the bearings, i think u can only use the 2L ones. hope i helped

That compression rating is a little on the high side dont u think? I wish my G200 had compression at a minimum of 9:1, it would make my engine a little more fun than what i have now.
The standard G161Z gem compression ratio is
TX, TC, TD = 8.7:1
TE, TF, TG = 8.3:1
G180Z = 8.5:1
G200Z = 8.4:1
There's a workshop article about upping compression by fitting the TX head on this site - have a look-see.
Cheers,
Jasyn...

well considering that i think by having the pistons stick 6 thou or something above the block and with a 1600 head on it my comp is about 10.5:1 and should make 210 Hp
