I currently have an RB (yes it is please no RB jokes this time), but I just want to know whethers its ok to run unleaded in it. I have been using it for a year now, and its ok, i juts want to know will it wear anything in the engine out? And also would it have more of less power than leaded fuel?

Pete

It depends on two factors, 1)Does the 4XC1 have an alloy head? My 'guess' is definately, as the RB was produced with a leaded and unleaded version. and 2)If it was made post '86 then it was designed to actually run unleaded.
As far as i know, the only difference between the two versions they produced, was that after '86 they dropped the compression ratio half a point to run on unleaded as it has a lower octane rating. So my guess is that it's fine to run on your current juice. Anyone care to back me up on this one or point out a downfall to keep this bloke from being nervous everytime he fills up ?
Cheers,
Jasyn...
