is the g161 the same as the g161Z, or are they different.
are both supposed to have the Z's at the end?
and is this the same case as with the g180, g80Z, g200, g200Z.

there is no such thing as a g200Z the "Z" stands for "'s"
e.g the g200's / the g200z, just an abbreveation

Um, yes there is such a thing as a G200Z or a G180Z, or a G161Z for that matter too. The Z suffix denotes the single cam motors, while a W suffix indicates a twin-cam motor, eg. G180W/G200W.
Unlucky guess chris |

in the case of a g200, single cam, the block would say g200, and the same for the twin cam g200, the bock would just say g200? right? i think the bottom ends are the same in both the single and twin cam versions, just the head would be different.
correct me if i'm wrong pplz. |

ok den, if u got a block sitting there, no head on nufin, how can u tell it's a dohc or sohc, the dohc would say g200W, and the sohc would say g200Z.
in that case, y the single cam g161 only say g161 with no letter suffix after it.
and as for the subject heading, i asked a straight foreward quesion, got a bullshit answer. i didn't know myself, so thought, yea, ok, that must be right. |

the difference between a z and w block is same as the difference between a 302 windsor and a 265 hemi. ie they dont look anything alike. at all. not by a long shot. nothing is even close to looking the same.......get the picture? |
