When you adjust the air/fuel mixture screw, is it anti-clockwise (screwing it out) that adds more fuel? Or is it screwing it in that adds more fuel? And is the basic rule of thumb for it, to screw it in till the engine hunts then screw it back out 3 and a half full turns? Any kind of guidance is greatly appreciated.
Cheers,

screwing it out adds more fuel

i also have heard u can unscrew the idle mixture screw up to 8times and still have your car running ok, so ust mess around till your happy
(i cut this from another post)
the idle stop screw is located almost at the bottom of the carby on the left, it is probably a phillips head screw but a flat head screw driver can be used to. about 4cm right (towards the front of the car) there is the idle mixture screw, it is a flat head screw, it is right next to a spring and a hose.

with the car off, wind the idle mixture screw all the way in slowly(do this lightly and stop when it stops) clockwise , once its all the way in unscrew it (anticlockwise) 3 full turns. now start the car. then if the car is idle ing to high or to low, adjust the idle stop screw in and out till your happy with the revs.
