can anyone give me a rough idea on how much aluminium checkerplate is and where i would go to look for it. plus is $200 a good buy for twin 48mm webbers?

i paid $70 to get a bit of chekerplate, the real thick metal shit, to be done and shaped to fit my rear parcel shelf. ended up covering it with carpet which cost me another $25 cost couldn't get RWC as it was reflecting on the back window.
