If I get defected for cutting my parcel shelf is this able to be repaired so I can get it roadworthy again? How do you do it and how much would this cost? |

it would be unlucky to get defected for that but if you do id say you would be able to weld a bit of thin steel or tin or somethin in place and it would be ok.
try and make the holes look sort of professional eg. no big tears or rips and you should have no hassles.
unless of course you are being a dickhead to attract the attention of the cops. you shouldnt get defected unless you give them a reason to. ive driven around with a cracked windscreen and heaps to low for 2 years sesibly and had no worries.
i probably dribbled shit but hope it helps

nah you cant legaly fix it a while ago i spoke to the guy from tonkins near me the manager and he said they dont cut the metal up cars newer than 85 as its defectable and if defected cant be fixed as you have cut the stucture out and welding a bit of metal wont give the stranght back (not that it provids much )\so there fore if you get defected kiss car good bye
this is in sa though never met anyone defected but im sure the cops will try and do it to ya |
