hey can some one [please tell me the exact measure ments for:
points
spark plugs
timing
tappets
also what are soem easy mods i can do to a 1600 engine to improve performane and fuel saving. ???? |

ok if you want performance as well as fuel saving i would say that extractors should be your first investment.
but as your hunger for HP increases you will lose your economy eg. a Weber will give you a good performance gain but you will use a bit more fuel than usual, although i have had better economy out of my weber than the standard carb due to the fact that the standard carb was old and pretty much stuffed.
so all up if you want performance without removing your motor then weber and extractors will be the wise choice to start off with.

plug gap 0.7-0.8mm points0.4-0.5
dwell 52 degres
inlet 0.15cold 0.20hot
exhaust0.25cold 0.30hot
i've got 2 manuals
1 says 2.5 degrees the other 6 for timing 6 works best
