Hi guys, I've got a weird electrical problem with my 1980 TE auto. When I put on the brakes the left indicator doesn't work, but in the dark it is very illuminated while the brakes are pressed. When the brakes are not being pressed it functions normally. Some sort of short between brake lights and indicators, or earth problem ??
Thanks

I had that problem once so I changed my engine, rebuilt my gearbox and diff, resprayed and detailed the exterior, reupholstered the interior, put a nice set of wheels and big arse stereo in, opened the boot and fixed the short between the brake light and the indicator. Fark it was easy!! Good luck with it.........or you could try getting the plumbing doctor to look at it? NOT!! |

check your tail light earth, usually black wire. I think it mounts under a tail light mounting bolt |
