Door Switches For Interior Light

Hey all, I own a TD Gemmi, and I am stumped as to how to remove the door switches that control the interior light. I have tried popping them out with a screwdriver and turning them out with a screwdriver, but nothing is happening...

How do I remove them without causing damage to panel or wiring?

Because somewhere along the way, they have become too short to activate/turn off the interior light, and I want to replace them with after market ones ...

been a long time, but from memory, once the collar is unscrewed you just wiggle it out.

Ahhhh ok. I didn't realise that the collar part unscrewed. Cheers for that, now I just gotta find a pair of pliers or vice grips to undo them ..

I had to remove the one on my TX as the contacts to the earth were gunky and needed cleaning up to get the int. light going again. The light has finally shit itself now, but has nothing to do with the door switches as i can't even get it to light up when i turn the main switch on...
bitch...mutter...mutter...graon... Another fiddly thing to fix that i cant be bothered with - untill i get home at 2 in the morning and cant see shit-all.
Anyways, what was the question... Oh yeah - how to get the door switches out. Grab yourself a flat head screwdriver and push the retractable prong of metal into the door-jam. Once the screwdriver is in far enough there should be a provision for it to slot into. You should be able to unscrew the switches from there. Peice of cake...

They all screw in. Some have a phillips type head in centre outer case, using a phillips driver push actuator in and screw (anti clockwise). Other style has a bolt head in outer case which can be taken off with a socket.
