| look at the bit that sticks in the back of the gearbox. if it is fine there is lots of splines or if its coarse not so many spline |

How would he know unless he had both to compare?
From memory the fine spline has approx 28 splines. The coarse one is a lot less (less than 20 anyway) |

my 1 is a coarse then coz it has 10 splines
and gearbox has 2 should i take the bearing off the manual or could maybe the teeth be wrecked on either part what if i get another tailshaft and that doesnt fit? |

try a fine spline cos when i put my tg motor in
my te i had to change the tailshaft to the tg fine spline

its piss easy
if he has a tailshaft with big mo fo chunky splines then that is coarse and if he is looking at the output spline on the gearbox has he nothing to compare it to? |

| are all model tailshafts the same lets say a TG tailshaft and TE becoz the tailshaft i have has the rite splines to go in the gearbox without the tailshaft i cant drive the car |

you sure that the spline on the gearbox is the same and Why arent u using ur gearbox? |

are u using a complete motor and gearbox assembly from a TG? |

| yes i had a auto in mine the engine was blown i cahged the whole thing over new engine the manul that was on it and the tailshaft the guy gave me |
