does anyone know how good Blaupunkt audio stuff is? whats it like in comparison to pioneer/kicker/clarion? is just some of their stuff good or all of it good?

ie. i can get Blaupunkt stuff for cheap at moment...

Blaupunkt stuff is pretty damned good - the leader in European car audio. It's not cheap, but the quality is usually on par with clarion, if not better. Alpine is probably still the leader in car audio though. Pioneer stuff is made of cheap Chinese components - don't but it. Ask Gene about his Blaupunkt amps.

if you aren't into the big brand name thing then they aren't bad

i would call them middle of the road really. my friend had blaubunkt 6inch splits in his car with a jvc deck and it shits all over my pioneer and kenwood stuff in volume and clarity (alot of other factors come into this such as how they are mounted etc and gemini doors aren't the best enclosures)

go with whatever you can afford and if u want super expensive stuff then save for it and avoid the cheap shit

my gear is a bit of everything at the moment kenwood deck, clarion splits, power acoustik amp (cheapie but a goodie) kenwood subs and jarcar everything else... point is it sounds pretty good clarity wise and everyone will hear it if that is what you want

blaupunkt stuff in mates cars shits all over sound gear in the wagon

dosn't come close to the kenwood/clarion stuff in the ZZ

Blaupunkt makes better quality stuff than sony,pioneer,kenwood,and the other jap stuff like that. Unless you go the high end of those brands, say $1000 for a head deck. And it shits on clarion for everything.

Yeah I have a Bluepoint CD head unit, very nice and good sound, also they come with a lot of little fetures that are very handy, ie change button functions, fully adjustable loudness controls,

i have to say, i had a pair of bluepoint velocity 12 inch subs, and are honestly the best sounding papercone 12s i have ever heard! but then i sold em and mum almost shot me cause she loved them too...
