I just got a battery box to put in my boot, few questions?
where are the wholes to run the wiring once the box is closed?
lol
I know it sounds dump but how do I put the wires threw?
also where do I connect earth 2?
whats the best place?
I dont know nuthing about earths?
excpet that its black please help me im hanging to put it in!

earth it to the the chassis, with a bolts and a good spider washer.

does it have to be bare metal the earth
and whats a spider washer?
what about the wholes in the box?

yes! definatly bare metal! slider washer is like a star washer that is spiky and will bit into the metal when u tighten it right up.
dunno bout the holes tho?? dril perhaps hehe

I did the same. bought a black box and wondered holes???

well, i did just that. drilled 3 holes in it. one, main cable to stereo, two, for the neons (this is my second battery in boot) and third earth.

i had mine in the rear left of my TC boot. frame work scubbed up ok, drilled whole, got bolt, 2 washers, one was a spider and there ya have it.

earthed.

GUYS GUYS GUYS!! you gotta vent ur box to the atmosphere too geez! Lucky ur not going for roadworthy or over regency. A show car will lose major points for no ventilation to the battery box. SO2 fumes are not nice. Especially if ur running a fuel cell too lol - as many a grag racer does. Use arc welding cable or similar gauge cable to avoid voltage drop. Your earth should be as short as possible and to some substantial material eg like ur suggested rail idea. Your earth is just as important as your power cable and connection. Dont forget to earth the motor to the factory point as well which i think from memory is where the bottom aletrnator bracket is....

you dont need to put holes in the box, there are 2 rails in the top of the box you just run the leads out of there.
put the lid on the box then turn it upside down and then youll see what i mean
