what needs to be done to a 1.6 to fit a 2lt head. i have been told u drop it straight on. I did this and after two days it blew a head gasket. any help would be good. u can email me seb_8_11@hotmail.com

I have to ask.
Why are you putting a 2lt head on a 1600 ??
I think if its blown a gasket the head must be warped,but I could be wrong..

If the head is in good condition, then you can simply bolt it on. They are interchangable. This is one of the best ways to lower the compression on a 1600.

Maybe you were detonating, too much ignition advance??
